1. Introduction
Welcome to Tech Naukary ("we," "our," or "us"), accessible at technaukary.com. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it.
By accessing or using Tech Naukary, you signify that you have read, understood, and agree to our collection, storage, use, and disclosure of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Collect
- Personal Information: your name, email address, graduation year, target role, skills, and other details you provide when creating an account or completing your profile.
- Resume Content: the resumes you build on the Platform and any resume file you upload to the ATS Checker or JD Matcher — including its text, your contact details, education, and work history.
- Activity Data: jobs you save, applications you track, and the ATS reports generated for you. This exists so your dashboard works, and it is visible only to you.
- Account Information: your email, a one-way hashed password (we never store or see your actual password), your role, and account settings.
- Usage Data: pages viewed, time spent, IP address, browser type, operating system, and device information, collected automatically.
- Cookies & Tracking: information collected through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 4).
You can browse jobs and read the blog without an account. An account is required only for the resume tools, because those results are saved to you.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, operate, and maintain our platform and services.
- To process job applications and power your dashboard (saved jobs, tracked applications, ATS reports).
- To send administrative information such as updates, security alerts, and support messages.
- To improve platform functionality and your user experience.
- To display relevant job listings based on your skills and preferences.
- To monitor and analyze usage and trends to improve performance.
4. Cookies & Analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies for two purposes:
- Essential cookies — a single session cookie that keeps you logged in. The site cannot work without it.
- Analytics cookies — Google Analytics, to understand aggregate traffic and improve the site. This data is anonymised and never tied to your resume.
You can block cookies in your browser. The site will still work, but you will not stay logged in.
4a. Advertising & Google AdSense
We display advertisements through Google AdSense and other third-party advertising partners to keep the Platform free.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your browsing behaviour.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings, or read more in Google's Advertising Privacy & Terms.
- We do not share your resume, profile, or application data with advertisers.
We do not control the content of the ads shown. Verify any advertised offer directly with the advertiser before acting on it.
4b. Usage & Behaviour Analytics
With your consent, we run our own analytics to understand which parts of the site actually help students, so we can improve them. You are asked to opt in the first time you visit; nothing is recorded until you choose Accept.
What we record:
- Which pages you open, and how long each page is visible on your screen.
- Which links and buttons you click, identified by their visible label.
- Your device type, browser, and the website that referred you.
- If you are logged in, this activity is linked to your account so we can see how real students move through the site.
What we deliberately do NOT record:
- Anything you type — no keystrokes, no form field values, no search terms.
- Your resume content — resume text, uploads, and ATS results are never sent to analytics.
- Query strings — only the page path is stored, because query strings can carry personal data.
- Your IP address — we store only a one-way hash that is re-salted every day, so it cannot be reversed into an IP or used to follow you across days.
Why we do it (legal basis): your consent, which you give via the banner and may withdraw at any time.
How long we keep it: raw page-and-click records are automatically deleted after 90 days. Only anonymous daily totals (for example "the ATS Checker page was viewed 400 times on 12 March") are kept beyond that, and those cannot be traced to any individual.
Who can see it: only Tech Naukary's site owner. It is never sold, never shared with advertisers, and never given to employers.
How to withdraw consent: choose Decline on the banner, or if you have an account, turn off "Allow Tech Naukary to measure how I use the site" in Dashboard → Settings. Switching it off stops all further recording immediately. To have the data we already hold about you erased, email [email protected].
5. Data Sharing & Third Parties
- With Employers: job listings link to external company career pages; any information you submit there is governed by that company's policy.
- With Analytics Providers: we use tools like Google Analytics to understand site usage.
- For Legal Reasons: we may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental regulation.
We do NOT sell your personal data to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures, including hashed passwords and secure connections, to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Request deletion of your account and personal data.
- Obtain a copy of your data (data portability).
- Opt out of marketing communications.
- Withdraw your consent to usage analytics at any time (Section 4b), without affecting anything you did before.
To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected].
8. Children's Privacy
Tech Naukary is not intended for children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you are between 13 and 18, use the Platform only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, email [email protected] and we will delete it promptly.
9. Third-Party Links
Our website contains links to external sites (such as employer career pages) that we do not operate. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices — review the policy of every site you visit.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time and will update the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes your acknowledgment and consent.
11. Contact Us
